I canestrelli sono biscotti a forma di fiore bucato, tipici di numerose zone dell'Italia, ma sono particolarmente diffusi in Piemonte e in Liguria. Sono friabili, burrosi e cosparsi di zucchero a velo, sono adatti per ogni momento dolce della giornata.
Sono ottimi accompagnati con un buon caffè, cioccolata calda o tè esistono varianti e forme diverse a seconda delle regioni vengono anche leggermente aromatizzati.
