irish chocolate cake



Buonissima torta a base cioccolato farcita e rivestita con una crema al cioccolato e Whisky, a decorazione granelle di nocciola o mandorla e riccioli di cioccolata.
Delicious chocolate-based cake stuffed and coated with a chocolate and Whiskey cream, decorated with hazelnut or almond grains and chocolate curls.



Ingredienti: 


per le due basi torte da 20 cm di diametro
  • 175g di farina 00
  • una bustina di lievito in polvere
  • 1/2 cucchiaio di sale
  • 50g di cioccolato fondente
  • 110gdi burro
  • 175g di zucchero 
  • 80gdi patate bollite schiacciate
  • 2 uova sbattute
  • 4 cucchiai di latte
Per la crema
  • 250g di mascarpone
  • 250g di cioccolato fondente
  • 160g di zucchero a velo
  • 50gdi crema al whisky
Procedimento:

Per prima cosa, sciogliete il cioccolato.

Nel frattempo setacciate la farina con il sale ed il lievito.
Mettete il burro e lo zucchero in planetaria, montate fino a rendere il composto soffice poi unite le patate schiacciate e il cioccolato.

Aggiungete poi le uova, la farina ed il restante latte.
Dividete l'impasto in due ed infornate a forno statico preriscaldato a 180°C per 25/30 minuti.
Una volta cotti rovesciateli su di una superficie e lasciateli raffreddare bene.

Preparate la crema:

Fate sciogliere i 250g di cioccolato. 

Mettete in una bowl il mascarpone e lo zucchero lavorate assieme gli ingredienti ed aggiungete poi il cioccolato sciolto ed il whisky.

Riponete il ripieno in frigorifero per 10 minuti circa.
Trasferite una parte di crema in una sacca da pasticceria.

Assemblate la torta: 

Prendete la prima base, con la sacca da pasticceria stendete uno strato di crema, riponete sopra la seconda base torta e poi ricoprite il tutto con la crema al cioccolato. 

L'altro, con l'aiuto di una spatola, servirà per rifinire la torta.
Potete decorare la torta con granella di nocciola o mandorla.

Aggiungete poi sulla superficie dei riccioli di cioccolata .
Si conserva 2/3 giorni in frigorifero, oppure potete congelarla per gustarla in un'altra occasione.

  • 175g of plain flour
  • 15g baking powder
  • 1/2 a spoonful of salt
  • 50g dark chocolate
  • 110g butter
  • 175g sugar
  • 80g mashed potatoes
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 4 spoons of milk
For the cream
  • 250g mascarpone cheese
  • 250g dark chocolate
  • 160g icing sugar
  • 50g whiskey cream
Method:


First, melt the chocolate.

In the meantime, sift the flour with the salt and baking powder.

Put the butter and sugar in the mixer, whisk until the mixture is soft, then add the mashed potatoes and the chocolate.
Then add the eggs, the flour and the remaining milk.

Divide the dough in two and bake in a preheated static oven at 180°C for 25/30 minutes.
Once cooked, turn them upside down on a surface and let them cool well.

Prepare the cream:

Melt the 250g of chocolate.


Put the mascarpone cheese and sugar in a bowl, work the ingredients together and then add the melted chocolate and whiskey.

Place the filling in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
Transfer a portion of cream into a piping bag.

Assemble the cake:
 

Take the first base, and with the piping bag, spread a layer of cream, place the second cake base on top and then cover everything with the chocolate cream.
The other, with the help of a spatula, will be needed to finish the cake.
You can decorate the cake with hazelnut or almond grains.
 

Finally add some chocolate curls on the surface.
It can be kept 2/3 days in the refrigerator, or you can freeze it to enjoy it on another occasion.
